I assumed Christopher was joking, trying to "josh" X out of her hostility. Was I wrong? Do you read it that CH really equates love with hate, or that he was trying to "handle" a situation? (Obviously, without any success.) But still, do you think my reading of it was off? He didn't tell me he was reeling or anything. I just know how I would have felt if someone said those things to me. I don't know who "started" it. I wasn't following closely until I sorta froze in my tracks. Maybe what I should say is "reeled." Why is it out of your realm, jp? You are perhaps a Martian? (visualize an emoticon with a smile and wink; i can't bear to actually do them....) I don't mean to be giving X a hard time, and hope she (and everybody else) knows that. I was genuinely, simply, upset, and decided to, er, talkaboutmyfeelings.
