Product Description
The VxWorks C Interface Library is used to provide host application programs with a C-level interface between a host 680x0 single board computer running VxWorks and Spectrum's C40 and SHARC-based DSP products. The VxWorks device driver is a low-level interface to the C40 and SHARC boards and performs such functions as open, close, read, and
write. Spectrum's VME hardware products offer powerful multiple DSP configurations with master, slave, VSB, and VME64 capabilities. Spectrum has chosen a modular approach to DSP solutions so the customer can build a DSP-I/O solution specific to the application. Spectrum's
high-performance SHARC VME and PCI product lines host on-board PMC sites offering off-the-shelf A/D or D/A I/O. Other dedicated high-speed I/O buses offered through our PMC sites include FPDP, VSB, and Raceway.
Using the TIM-40 module approach, Spectrum's C4x VME boards offer one to eight C4x's with memory alternatives like SRAM and EDRAM as well as I/O-specific modules for digital radio, coaxial and fiber optic networking, ADC, DAC, and VSB. Spectrum has the capabilities to offer semicustom or full custom DSP solutions to meet OEM volume/cost requirements.
