Appreciate the information Rajiv...so much for a full service broker. I currently use PaineWebber (long story) and the VP of the office I deal with told me it was not legally possible.

I'll have to get on his case. What firm did you short through?

Rajiv, my broker suggested that IPO's could not be shorted as a type 4 transaction as the stock can't be borrowed if not marginable and IPO's are not marginable for 30 days. I don't doubt you are shorting the stock...can you shed any light on my brokers comments?
