Dorine, RE: If you would notice that the BID is higher than the ASK. That is also good. That is only because the 3 market makers who posted the 40 15/16 bid last night haven't updated their screens yet. The current active market is 40 13/16 bid, 40 7/8 offered. FYI, for those of you that care about pre market trading but don't have Level II, the best clue as to opening action is to check the deviation form the previous days close. For example, last night, DELL closed at 40 15/16 bid, 41 offerred. The deviation from last night is at the offer. That is an indication of where the current market is.
