I just think the guys with the big money are running these stocks up now, after having accumulated truckloads of shares in the May-June "consolidation." I understand the fundamental story, but I also feel that fundamentals in this stock market in recent years haven't meant much. (Micron Technology, anyone?)

So, I'm paying more attention to the technicals at this point. I'm also thinking that most big holders in the OS sector bought in late last year and early this year. They have pretty nice gains, and they probably aren't too eager to take the short term cap gains tax hit. So, while we definitely get the ups and downs from short term traders moving in and out, there should be some nice support from the mutual funds for quite awhile longer.

By the way -- my bullishness is probably the best contrarian indicator.

EDIT: Some people were pointing out yesterday that we had a breakout on very strong volume. I'm thinking that is a reason to hold, not sell, but that is not a technical factor I use, so someone else may be able to comment.
