Nokia does not have Qcom chipset. I don't think the Samsung does either; don't know about the Sanyo. Whatever you do, don't get anything that doesn't have a lithium battery. The current Qcom phone (860, I believe) should be free or nearly so; the prices are being cut way low in other areas of the country with the ThinPhone coming in. I would buy a Qcom phone, definitely, but then I am biased. See if you can hold out for a ThinPhone, which is just now coming into stores and all the carriers should have it in the fall. Just remember, they are offering them free because they are cheaper for the carrier; that should tell you something. There were problems with the first Nokia 6185's; somewhere on the thread, if you do a search, there should be some discussion of the nature of those problems.

Samsung is as far as I know QCOM driven. Test them all. Demand it and then get back to us with your opinion.....

Bill, if you can wait, get the QCP-1960 Thin Phone for the PCS band. I think the PCS Thin Phone will be out this Fall.
I am using the QCP-860 digital cellular Thin Phone with Airtouch and it is a really solid phone; I suspect the PCS version will also peform well. -Jay
