No, but it did make for a nice, short-term trade on AMD. Yet another nail in the coffin of the EMH: everyone (but everyone) knew AMD was coming out with the K7, and that it would be a big splash, and that it would benchmark slightly better than the PIII -- yet the official announcement of same was still good for a pop. People are sheep. -mb

RE- INTC

I read somewhere yesterday: 1) the new P III 600Mhz is not stable; 2)Intel will soon cut prices of those just announced P IIIs; and 3)there is a shortage of low end PII parts( Pii266, 300 and P MMX)-- the consumers only want low end boxes(?).
all these are not so great for Intel, but INTC was up and made all time highs one after another. well,it came down a little today<g>
