Great post, Ahhaha, you answered all my questions! Excite may not be producing much at this moment. But they are far from a loser. Excite is hiring like crazy to beef up their engineering staff. They just hired my friend who is very talented. It could be a mistake on Jermo's part to purchase Excite in Jan. But now they are stuck with it, they better make the best out of it. A company is made out of people. If the Excite people are motivated, I see no reason why can't they achieve the same thing AOL folks achieve.

<<AOL can get in cable distribution anytime they want. They wisely don't want.>>

Ahhaha, in reading your post's this seems to be a common thread in your thinking. Why is it that you feel that they (AOL),can easily get involved with BB cable but rightly do not want to be? I have a difficult time seeing this after considering most things I have read thus far on the issue. Why would they be fighting so hard for open access if they don't want cable distribution? Though I agree with many ideas you have, this one makes me crazy. AOL seemingly has everything to gain with cable access and much to lose without. Without BB AOL is nothing more than a children's electronic 'kid connection'. Once any serious user goes online via BB, they will never go back to dial up. Please expound on your reasoning if possible....

Thanks in advance.
