Oh Wise One: Good post (again). Some of the readers here
and elsewhere need some lessons in economic history. (Sure,
it's "different this time".) It's always "different" and

Sounds like hogwash to me. Paper created and exchanged for other paper -- that isn't savings -- it's paper. Saving is foregone consumption that frees up real resources for capital accumulation. Increasing the outstanding demands on existing assets or inflating them doesn't provide a base for the economy to expand.
