Terry, while i agree with you that the a/d line WILL have it's way eventually, it is far from sure that the time is now. to illustrate what i mean, take a gander at a chart of the 1929 Dow - probably the best period to compare the current one with. as you can see, after a failed breakout, the Dow made a low below a prior consolidation zone in late july, while the a/d line continued to deteriorate. it was however a bear trap, as the index then commenced to advance in it's final blow-off phase prior to the crash. i am not saying that the same thing will happen now, only that it wouldn't surprise me at all.
IF a similar blow-off were to start now, the meagre remains of the bearish camp would be utterly destroyed and that would be a fitting end to the bull market.
