Actually, the real secret of the microphonics unit is in its software. In order for you to get that out of the rom chip. you will need to have the equipment and expertise to either slice the chip, or figure out how to get past the built in security to extract the code from the chip electronically. AS a person who was very active in that field during the infancy of the satellite decoder pirating business, I can tell you that unless you have a lot of money to put into that endeavor, you will not be successful. The software code is what the patent pending is on. The Soundlogic end of the equation. You could have a roomfull of the detectors, but without the Signature Sound software, you do not have the ability to cancel out the normal operating sounds of the equipment you are testing. That is also the thing which the so called competition does not have, and the reason that Microphonics has won out over CTRL, UE-INC., SUPERIOR SIGNAL, EFI., etc. in tests at Ford, GM, DELCO, GOODYEAR, Ad Infinitum. Also, regarding the patent. The German engineer who developed the original unit did so under commission from the US Army, therefore, I believe that the patent would also need to have been filed in the US. It is my understanding from reading the investors packet I received in FEb., 1999 that the German engineer failed to properly file some US documents relative to the device patent and it became public domain in 1990. At that point Mr. Gayle and his engineers reworked it and filed for a US patent. Since that time there have been at least three upgrades, and I would assume that modifications would have been filed on each one. But keep in mind, The software license is the key element of the superiority of the MRPS unit, and it is a secret.
