It just seems to me that Mr G really, really has a thing about the market climbing.

I remember one of his comments this year to the effect that a catastophic collapse in the stock market wouldn't of necessity carry over to produce a catastrophy in the economy and he cited Japan as an example.

I'm sure I heard him say that. But no-one has commented on it on SI that I can see. If he believes what he says then.........?????

Frank: The odd thing is that real interest rates that is yields less inflation are at an all time high. There is something bizzare about what is going on here Earnings are great, inflation is in check, trhe gov't has a surplus and the rest of the world is recovering. I think Mr. G must have had some words once upon a time with Wall Streeters or have been turned down by GS or ML early in his career. This whole fear of a quarter point hike is irrational. JFD
