Ben, Thanks for your comments. My put strike price was 7.5 but I sold them at 3 bucks so it was like buying at 4.5 when the price was then about 5.5. If I knew this could happen I would have rolled them forward to catch some more premium, but now I am holding more stock. That's the breaks. The same strategy had worked over and over again with Dell and WCOM, etc.
