Yes emc follows the macd lines quite well. They would have worked great had I followed them a few months ago when emc also declined but I impatiently jumped back in too soon. I'm going to watch them carefully here so as not to make that same mistake again. Though I think the overall market is oversold here and may rally for a week or two before resuming the plunge. September looks like it will be a truly horrendous one that will challenge the strength of the many bulls.
I predicted emc would retest the low 50's but in no way did I think it would happen so shortly after I said that. Since emc declined so easily, I now think that we may have to retest 45 yet one more time, but probably not till September. I think emc really needs to reassure the market here. It's possible that the market will hate this deal so much that emc might have to undo the deal. In that case, is there a penalty that emc would have to pay?
