Wally,

I expect Yardeni to change his tune. ... probably in less than 4 months.

All of a sudden it will be,

"See what a wonderful job I did of helping corporations around the globe avoid a major Y2K disaster. Without my constant whining and buffoon-like behaviour, the world would have surely come to an end."

Pardon me if I can't get excited about Y2K.

Ian.

Re: Y2k problems

Oh guru of Y2K issues (yes Wally, that's you<g>), what is your most recent projection of the impact of Y2K on the financial markets of the world?

From my viewpoint, thinks are looking relatively minor. I'll need to manually set the clock on one of my computers on 01/01/00. I'll probably need to buy my grand daughter a new computer for her Pooh games. I'll either have to buy a new VCR for the basement TV or set it to 1972 (I think that's the year where all of the days match the Y2K dates). Other than that, my household is relatively Y2K compliant.

Assuming no disruptions to the water supply and power, I should be fine. But what about my portfolio, oh Guru of Y2k? <g>

Best wishes,

I2

Wally: looks like Mary has not lost her touch. They could not push E-Bay down all day yesterday and it surged at the end of the day. Good news for net heads as the street still has some influence on the masses which is important when one is investing purely on crowd behavior characteristics which is the hallmark of net investing to a large extent. A crowd needs a leader and the street still leads the crowd in this sector!!
