Yes, but even if they are harboring secret plans to adopt the Athlon, they need not make that known until everything is in place and they have to deliver. I'm sure IBM and Compaq went along with the early release announcements only due to their close relationship with AMD.

It's amazing how dumb Dell and Gateway are - yet they keep making all that money and growing their business !

Then there's that great computer company Compaq that is doing "just mahvelous" with their AMD business !
