I am not sure aboutvoice access from cars. GMGC did though just change their pricing structure to match that of competitor webley. New members now can get 9.95$ permonth and $.15 per FLAT minute rather than leg minute. Isent and recieved this reply from Corporate Wireless.

Mr. Carleton:

My name is Victor Kress. I am a Portico Specialist here at CWG. I am going
to attempt to answer your questions you have stated in your e-mail.

A: Minutes are billed per leg only on the old plans. This means that if you
have one of the original pricing plans you will be using "Double Session
Minutes" If an existing Portico Subscriber would like to swith plans, all
they need to do is call Customer Support @ (800) 774-3311 and press "4" for
customer support. Tell them that you would like to swith to the new pricing
and then you will have one leg billing.

The old plans can still be subscribed to untill: October 31, 1999

Currently existing subscribers will not be switched over to these new plans,
General Magic does not have any plans to notify their customers, however
they will notify them when they call in to the customer service number.

Yes, a portico Number can now receive inbound fax messages. You can also
set an option to receive notification to a pager or other wireless device
that has an e-mail address...

100 Free Life time minutes means that when a new customer or an old customer
that has discontinued service decides to receive the Portico service again,
they will receive 100 minutes in their account. If you use them all up in
the first month of being on the service, they will be depleted from the
account for good. If you only use let's say 10 minutes the first month then
90 min. will carry over to the next month and so on. Once 100 min. are
used. you will pay fifteen cents a minute for service.

I hope that i answered all of your questions and hope that you decide to try
out the new improved Portico service! Please call me at CWG and ask to
speak to me if you would like to re-connect your services with Portico.

Hope to hear from you soon!

I was once a Portico subscriber through Caroline Starr in the Fall of
Last year,. I cancelled the service mainly due to it's cost, and because
another service my company was trialing, Webley, turned out to have more
useful features and better pricing than Portico.
I have several questions about the new pricing/product.
A. Are minutes still billed per leg? Meaning one leg into the system,
one leg out for a total billed time for a two minute call to a friend
being 4 minutes?
B. Can the service now accept inbound faxes?
C. Will my friends who still have the service through old pricing plans
be converted (just curious if I should warn them!)?
D. What exactly does 100 lifetime free minutes mean?

Your answers will be easily anticipated!

Yours truly,
JC
