cm, There are a couple of issues that I see beyond the $2k issue. (1)Didn't HAUP have 30,000 Wave enabled boards? Was the Wave chip given to HAUP? Is that an ongoing policy, and what does it cost to produce one of those chips (i.e. how much cash must be burned to get, say, 1 million installed base). Also, why are there only a few hundred installed base, I had heard earlier (on this board?) that HAUP was selling briskly. (2)At the rate of cash flow, WAVX will need more cash. If the internet bubble finally bursts, and we are now seeing some pressure on it, will WAVX be able to secure needed funding? I know I am open to the accusation of nitpicking on the numbers, but I do think that Wave will need money and the nitpickers often are in control of the funding sources. Wave will be in a tough bind if the current starry eyed internet investors lose their interest, and Wave is left with stodgy old bean counters. Good luck with HP and CPQ, there are probably still some stiff hurdles to clear with them (as I recall, there was at one time great hope for IBM...) Oliver I have no short position, so I have no interest in seeing WAVX hit the skids, but I do maintain my skepticism.
