PLease feel free to use me as a contrary indicator. I sold all my OSX holdings and a third of my EP positions today. Not a sign of bad news for crude on the horizon. Mostly short covering in front of the API in crude, although folks are watching the DOE more closely then before. DOE's are mandatory reporting where as APIs are voluntary.

Hi, Guys:

I bought a stock today called Vintage Petroleum (VPI). I see that they had earnings this afternoon, and beat the street by eight cents

Vintage Petroleum (VPI:NYSE) reported second-quarter earnings of 4 cents a share, better than the 16-analyst estimate of a 4-cent loss, and up from an 18-cent loss a year ago. Vintage said it would divest a number of nonstrategic oil and gas properties to improve efficiency and lower its financial leverage.

What do you think about this stock? Thanks.
