Of all the posts I read tonight, I thought your post mirrored my own observations and frustrations in describing both the feeling and the perception of the way the market traded. I watched the ticks, and I watched the futures go to a big premium as the market was forced up at the end. I'd love to know who was calling the shots. I agree that until the bears are hootin and hollerin this market isn't through on the downside, but I sold most of my very profitable put positions because of the type of end of day shennanigans you are describing. "They do not want to let the market fall to a more natural bottom, wherever that may be, and it was evident from the ticks and the way the market traded. I would love to see a big and violent rally, so I could unload a bit more of my longs, and reposition on the short side.

All I see is Carpino, who says we will have a bounce. it's over by the 18th. By then, the puts I sold will be worthless, and I can pocket the prem. I made good money today, and I am long Csco. Selling the open!
