Chris, i noticed the expansion in new lows...it is certainly not indicative of a healthy bull market when 10% of the NYSE stocks hit new 52-week lows. it says nothing about short term direction however...

stockycd, thanks for your last post. It's a clear demonstration of how this drop is different from minor ones earlier this year. (Also the length of time it's been declining now is unusual, and if it flattens out at this point that will match the Aug 98 pattern. If it does I might risk September puts!)
