I agree-- which has better value CSCO at 75 PE growing earnings at 25% a year, or JDSU, PE of 55 growing earnings at 50%/year?

Thanks for the response DownSouth--much appreciated. I get queasy with the 'new' metric of the earnings growth rate / PE unless the quality of earnings is very, very solid (which certainly seems to be the case with JDSU). Besides, this might be the only way to get a bunch of 'I told you so' investor friends off my back. best, mike doyle
