Anybody been able to figure out why explosive revenue growth didn't drop down to bottom line better? Very slightly contracting margins couldn't account for discrepancy between +48% revenues and +31% profits. Not that I'm complaining, but where's the gross evaporating to?

Also, anybody recall a year ago at this time, when good-excellent CSCO report was lost in the general market difficulties? There are times when the market discounts good news, just as there are times it discounts bad. CSCO should change it's quarter and reporting period wrt the calendar so it doesn't get caught in the washout which frequently follows everyone else's reporting periods...

Finally, thought this commentary on the expectations game, whisper numbers, low-balling, and all that was pretty good: techstocks.com . Be sure to skip down past the stuff about the day's market action.

CSCO was right in passing on INS deal, IMO. LU's paying too much.

That's my CSCO post for this year. See ya next...
