A great company with a very good outlook. It may take a year to see the real effect of this aquisition kick in.
As for the market I'd say we are on hold and in danger until we get through October. If I had cashed out of EMC, now I would be sitting on the side lines. If I see an opportunity I will take my money off the table, hold, and buy back in later.

john, RE: EMC: PE low 60's...EPS growth next 2-3 yrs: 50% (maybe 50%+)..

Earnings this year will probably come in around $1.05-1.07, which is a 40%+ increase over last year. And that isn't including the charge that EMC is going to take for the DGN acquisition. The average estimate for next year is $1.35, which is probably low, but even using the high number of $1.45, that gives you growth of 35%, not 50%+. Can you give me your logic behind your guess of 50%+ earnings per share growth? (Note also that I am giving EMC credit for DGN possibly being accretive for next year, even though I highly doubt it, at least not without some creative accounting.)
