Intel's engineers have produced MANY excellent chips - I don't recall you congratulating them.


The Pentium Pro (P6) was a brilliant design. It was actually the fastest CPU (including the Alpha) in the world at introduction. It came out just two years after the P5. Amazing! Intel had "pipelined" its development process - I'm sure you remember the ads.

That was 4 years ago. Where is the P7? It won't be out until "late 2000, early 2001". I'm not going to congratulate Intel for squandering its massive lead to tiny, undercapitalized AMD. I sincerely hope that Intel can get on track again.
