Diamond, I could not agree with you more. I read sometime ago in SmartMoney where a well known economist suggested saving all predictions and then looking back at them 7 months later to have a good laugh. The so called gurus somehow manage to look good even if they are wrong don't they. I have as you said used my own judgement for 18 years. I buy whenever I have the money without trying to time the market or any individual stock. I have done well enough to consider taking a very early retirement at the end of this year.
