Prices are higher than that, latest AICE commentary:
-----
The higher price levels on PC 100 SYNCH DRAM are holding firm.
OEM's are indicating that they expect pricing to go higher. The 16
MEG DRAM market continues to be very healthy as demand
continues to expand. The 1MX16 configuration, in all modes,
remains the most popular device.
--------
8Mx8 spot range today= $7.23 - 7.82
64M pc100 module= $57.60 - 62.31
-------
I dont think investors realize how strong this DRAM is right now!!!!!!!
--------
I am buying more MU.
Good trading.

One thing that is striking in these figures is the inconsistency between 8Mx8 pricing and DIMM pricing.

Could it be that these DIMMs are being assembled using 16Mx8
parts and that the 128Mb/64Mb price cross over has already occurred.
If the yields of 64 Mb parts are as high as some here have stated,
this is reasonable.

64 Mb pricing may no longer be any more important than 16 Mb pricing.
