Since Sharky's can't be accused of being biased towards AMD, you may find the following comments interesting:

Until the industry starts to calculate the actual sales of Athlon-based PCs versus equivalently configured Intel P3 PCs, we can only speculate on the catch-up game Intel is currently playing.

So there is still a chance I will be able to see a 600MHz Athlon system one click away from a 600MHz PIII system. But by then, it may be 700MHz vs. 667MHz!

Maybe some *other* BTO company will beat Gateway to Athlons.

We'll see what happens.
