Bluegreen, you always ask the wrong question! The real question is, "How easy is it to get Bob out of a daze?" Really a sort of dumb move, announcing, when the results will be released, if Davis actually did this. Hope Ellen smacks him on the side of his head. Gives shorts an opportunity to do various things before Monday. Shot till close on Friday. Spin announcement as bad news. Cover without being squeezed on Monday if the news is good. Also pre announcement of an announcement can build in both buy and sell stops. SMACK EM AGAIN!!!!! Check any Monday publications that come out over the weekend for potential articles. Probably won't be any but who knows. Monday is a good day for a release, without any doubt, but that does not mean the news will be good. Hope it will but we don't know, nor do we even know that anyone spoke to Davis.

Any reaction to the supposed announcement by Davis that the results will be released on Monday? Seems like few are upset. Yes, it is nice to know when the results will come out. However, I do not believe that a major release should be pre announced. An earnings release is not a major event and has to be done within a certain time frame. release of clinical trial results is something else. It still seems to me that setting a future date allows some to utilize the "fact" that nothing will happen until x date to their advantage which might not be in the same interest as XOMA or its shareholders. Perhaps nothing will happen. That's not the point. The point is it could.
