I guess I'm speaking of both or either, lust or desire. It reminds me of what Woody Allen answered to the question, "Is sex dirty?"-- "It is when it's good."

Desire seems to me be to be called lust when it's hot, or intense, or deep desire.

Hey, I've never asked myself any question about the difference, before, so have no complex thoughts about it. I will feel real sad if lust departs, ever, and "desire" entirely takes its place.

Edit: I just had a thought. I wonder if a greater degree of comfort with the word desire might have something to do with feeling guilty or ashamed if the word a person uses is "lust," even if the feeling that person chose to call desire is the same one I would call lust.

It doesn't matter.
