Now, the lockups for this year's mother lode of new Internet-related
IPOs are starting to expire, permitting insiders to sell. And some
investors, worried about a flood of sales, are unloading the stocks in advance of lockups, helping to
drive them down based on fear alone. More and more will expire as the year progresses.
Companies with lockups expiring before long include high-profile IPOs iVillage, Cheap Tickets,
About.com and Priceline.com.
