Cautious optimism is starting to show. One sign of an impending correction is when declining issues begin to pummel advancing issues.

Conversely when advancers begin to take charge it can mark the beginning of a short term (or longer term) bottom.

At the moment on the NYSE advancers lead decliners 1724 to 1224.

On the Naz advancers lead 1976 to 1641.

Still very early, yet worthy of note.

Small caps are participating but lagging, nothing unusual there.

Oil stocks rolling. (OXY) No one mentioning this one. California based company. With the prices on the rise and refineries blowing up I would say this is a good bet. Picked up some a few days back under 20. Now pushing 21. Expect to see 23 in the short term. I'm holding long. Dividend is $1/share.
