CatLady,

Using the short form of the link i.e. #Subject-14747 is fine for Classic users but it throws users of the new system into the non-member version of the page. It translates to a www.siliconinvestor.com link. If I start reading posts on the reference thread I have to log on if I want to respond or if I want the SubjectMarks link to show up.

If the short form of the link worked under the new system the same way that they work under Classic SI then I would agree that use of short links should be encouraged, but as of now they don't.

Tom
