Not strictly true. Enhanced "3D NOW" is much faster and much broader in total applications.

there will be a lot of games, like Descent-3
that will have Pentium-III specific features.
Since I assume that has to do with the SSE
instruction set, I just want to be sure I have
straight in my mind which AMD offerring
will be compatible. I know 3DNow is very
powerful, but I have to be compatible first.
