- from yhoo boards: PTEK Fundamentals by: bid2buyit 18570 of 18577 1-HLTH - 5.4 million shares valued at $186 million, or $4.23/PTEK share (8/13 closing price). Insider selling in HLTH has caused seloff from average of $60+ a share. PTEK's performance has tracked that of HLTH almost identically. Fundamentals of HLTH are suggesting that an Internet behemoth in healthcare is being formed, with major investors (MSFT, Excite, Mckesson, Dupont, etc.) not budging. Insider selling was from individuals who received stock in HLTH when their company was acquired (1st HLTH acquisition). PTEK will definitely be the unified messaging tool of choice (Orchestrate) for all the doctors signing up. Separately, look for HLTH to be over $100 as critical announcements begin to be made. Please keep in mind that WebMD insiders will be able to sell their shares in October. 2-PTEKventures will be probably spun off and valuation will be that of an internet company (probably in the $1-2 billion range). Also, important holdings will continue to be key to not only product distribution strategies, but also as establishing a leadership role in the e-communications emerging business. 3-MCI Worldcom sale of PTEK shares is over; selling pressure by shorts will not be supported as it was during the last two weeks' slide. Volatility will probably continue in the near term, but bottom has probably been reached at the $5 3/4 level. 4-Pending announcements of key alliances will reaffirm that this company is in a transformation mode, and is basically extremely undervalued. I am certain that we will hear the names of AOL-Netscape, SUNW, or MSFT, in the next major announcement. 5-USAnet (MBOX is the symbol) will eventually go through its postponed ipo; in the meanwhile, its revenue growth and e-mail market share has continued to be impressive. This will be a major distribution partner for Orchestrate as well. 6-No reported insider selling in PTEK; confidence in long term prospects of the company appears to be high. 7- Major institutional shareholder recently increased their position to over $3 million shares (spoke with investor relations 3 weeks ago). 8-Revenues will begin to pick up in the new product categories, and while the next quarter will still show losses, gross profit margins will continue to be above 70%; look for turnaround by year end. Conclusion: If you are patient, and can stomach volatility, you will be handsomely rewarded; if you are trading the stock for $1-2 profit, above info is not for you. P.S. I own a substantial amount, and will buy more if it goes to $6 1/4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted: 08/14/1999 10:44 am EDT as a reply to: Msg 18569 by RIDDLEONE View Replies to this Message Related Links Quote & News Profile Research Insider Go to: Start | Most Recent | Msg #: All BoardsOnly in this Board All Boards & Topics Authors -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright ¸ 1999 Yahoo!
