Scarecrow, what comes to my mind is manipulation by a big holder or holders... I know, it's a free market, but I also know that one is free to manipulate it if one could... as long as no rules are broken... I gave a long detailed example on the DELL thread sometime ago and showed that it can in fact be done at an initial loss and a substantial gain later... it's interesting that it's happening about 4 weeks ahead of earnings... yes, I am sure some will say, no, not so... but if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck in my book...

best regards
amein

I am disappointed today but am planning on much happiness in the future.

If you all will forgive my point of view, technically CMGI is pretty screwed up as a stock. It has to attract investors compared with other stocks. One has to look into the future also. How high can the nets go from here? Probably not like the old days. Big cap nets did not go very far today. Also IPO's are being pushed back and their future is under considerable discussion.
With that as a backdrop, CMGI is not charging like it used to. Also other major firms are competing for the same opportunities that CMGI has locked up here to fore..
