Continuing on a botanical note, it the the fall when the roots of a tree become stronger. The energy/food of the tree is no longer diverted to producing leaves. This is why it is better to plant trees, roses, peonies etc in the fall.
Fall should be kind to our not-so-little GNET. Much work is being done by Russell and company to ensure that this sapling becomes a mighty oak; but like strong roots, not all is visible.
