I have little doubt about the future of AOL, but short term, there is no telling. Many foolish investors are sitting scared and will sell into rally's such as this. It's gonna take some time to weed people out...restore proper order and etc......but when we do, AOL will rise to ever higher levels.

People can gripe and groan all they want, but this all boils down to a couple of basic points :

The internet is here to stay

The internet will be large. So large in fact, it may have the single biggest impact on society/economy ever known to mankind.

AOL is, and will continue to be a leader in the internet.

That's the fact jack......if you believe the internet is a farce, then I can see why you would not want to hold this stock. If you believe what I think is already apparent....that the internet will impact our lives greatly...then just take a look at aol...growth, revenue and etc, etc....absolutely staggering.

Congrats to those holding firm........high fives to all those that bought more....and too bad, see ya later to those that bailed.

Hey....where's my boy ? Ole Robert Duke ?? Wonder which stock he is changing his mind hourly on now. Robert my friend ( and I do mean that...I can't help ribbing you, but I know your a good guy...you just need to chill a little ), you will rue the day you sold half your holdings...you of all people...you of the " we will split 6 times this month"...you of " we will be 12 zillion in market cap by 1999 and 1/2 ".......Well, actually, I suspect you probably bought them back already, but are too embarrased to admitt you paniced. Anyway...if you haven't bought back, you should consider it on our next dip into the mid to low $80's. Eventually, the weak will be gone, the shorts will cover, broadband will be announced and the word DIP will be non-existant for awhile. Get it cheap while you can !!

Good luck to everybody...

Don't get me wrong. I never subscribed to the theory of inflation and must raise interest rates. But a resignation or a hint of Greenspan not being renominated, would not be fun to watch.

What better suited candidate do you have in mind? Like I said. I don't agree with Greenspan's obsession with inflation. Like someone mentioned the other day "You don't take an aspirin today just in case you get a headache tomorrow" but fooling around with the idea of a new FED chairman at this time would be a lot worse than going against almost non existent inflation.

Sonny, I've tried to listen to A.G. very carefully and listen to what he says and does. I think he and the F.M.O.C are the true hero's of this great bull run.
They will be grooming his succesor and floatting him just the way they did Larry Summers. We'll be the last to know.
