Agreed, but volatility makes it hard to go into a long or short position with any reasonable stop loss.

Look at EBAY for example. In the last 7 trading days, it has touched a 30 dollar range twice! In one week! 5 of those days have been 10 dollar + interday swings!

yes, when you're not sure of the market direction, it's best to follow kis' example and just show up at the market close. <vgb>

Mark: <be careful you don't get whipsawed...> definitely a problem -- but I was better off to get long this afternoon than to stay short -- and I did well out of that. As for going short again -- I don't trust this 'rally' one bit. Good luck.
