I don't think I have read what the percentage is.

I go to a lot of auctions (collect antiques and 50's memorabila). I went to several auctions when I lived in California 1988-93. At that time the auction house take was 15%.

I know that most of the investors haven't been very excited about the auction side of this. I have been. I know there is money to be made there. Collectors/decorators pay big bucks for the unusual. Something else to keep in mind. Many of the most famous Interior Decorators and collectors are gay. They have a real appreciation for beautiful things.

I think the Ginger Rogers items will pull the Palm Springs elite in. As a matter of fact... the Ginger Roger's Society just had their annual dinner in Palm Springs in May. Here is a link with info about that. Notice some of the stars that attended (be sure and click on the pictures... including the cover of Palm Springs Life which was a tribute to Rogers). Just for fun... I am also posting the link to the Tribute Page the Society has for Ginger.

I realize the politics of this investment has been a nightmare. We are always afraid of the unknown.. and we should be. However, there is a lot of fun stuff coming up. We should start spending a little more time remembering that. It is this fun stuff that is going to bring in the bucks!! Let's have some fun!!! LOL
