Would it have helped if Ammo had said it the RIGHT way: "John hanged himself"? Considering that he read the book for AP English...<g> Just trying to get my ego back in shape at someone else's expense, after all that ungrammatical on-air stumbling I did today... True, the woman who did the interview called me later, to thank me. I fell all over myself apologizing. She knew what I was talking about, but pointed out that they learned 100% more about Dagestan than they knew before, which was 0%. So, I did get something across, I suppose, beyond the impression that I can't speak English.

Rambi, I think I'm entering the tough kid question years. Ryan asks me today... Dad, what is a poacher? Well son...hmmm, you understand that some people hunt for deer and other wildlife? Oh, yeah Dad. Ok, well in order for people to hunt they must buy a license because you are only allowed to kill a certain amount of..say deer. That way there is always enough deer for the future. If you break the law and kill more deer than allowed, or if you don't get a license and kill some deer, then you're considered a poacher and can be arrested and put in jail. Dad, what about the people who are too poor to afford to buy a license and who need to hunt in order to feed their family? Dad then stammers out something about the government food programs and talks like a babbling idiot! :-) Michael
