Bad news Mike,

>>Real simple as far as I can tell: if AT&T goes CDMA, Qualcomm is a very undervalued stock.<<

I just sat through a staff meeting with Mike Armstrong (he's in Alaska on a fishing trip) he talked at some length about wireless, but no mention of CDMA. He was brandishing a Nokia tri mode phone spouting standby and talk times and how both were going to expand. He said that TDMA and GSM were going to wed in 3G to create world wide roaming.
The good news is that he emphasized that wireless internet appliances were the future of wireless telephony. Talked about high data rates & constant connectivity, just didn't know that he'll need CDMA.

I think Mr. Armstrong has a chance to save this bloated bureaucracy that I work for, but I don't think he has his arms around wireless. He did quote Moore's Law and talked at length about his facilities based broadband strategy. I think that broadband is his major focus.

OT Just for Ramsey. One question he fielded was that $ill has an OC12 to his new home, what does the CEO of AT&T have going to his home. Mike replied he had a 996 Porshe going to his home.
