Don't quote me on the exact figures but roughtly speaking:

Float from GenRe is up near $15-20 Billion.
Loss on GenRe operations was about $136 million. I think that was the result of an unusual loss of about $175-200 million of which much was made in the press. Can't find specifics in the quarterly report or news posted online.

The COST of the float was less than 1% in the first quarter but that appears to be the exception than the rule.

In past years, the GEICO float has cost BRK just about nothing and I'd guess (from what I see) that the GenRE will cost them little to nothing either.
