Without H&Q, I can't get any.

Believe me, if I could, I would.

Jay --

I got a response. The shelf registration is also know as a "kitchen sink shelf." In other words it can be made into anything. It can sit on the shelf and not be used at all, or used in bits and pieces in any way the company sees fit.

It's the company's way of having cash on hand should they need to do an acquisition. And, again, they're absolutely up front about seeking additions to their DWDM product line. If the SEC decides to do a review, the process could take 2 or 3 months, and if not, it's a fairly quick process.

I asked about the rumor that NT was selling its fiber optics components division and was told everyone and his cousin was rumored to be the buyer --- including Corning, JDSU, and SDLI. Nothing in the works that he knew of.

Hope this helps.

Pat
