"Companies like Tioga and Motive are developing Web-based software applications that can evaluate settings on a computer remotely and then automatically provide fixes that get computer users up and running again."

Ahhaha- Wow! This sounds like something out of Star Trek. I like it!

Fortunately it hasn't been often, but I remember countless hours being on the phone with tech support from Dell or Earthlink. Having a tech support person on the other end reading from a manual, having little clue of the next step until they read it. This service would be a blessing to ALL computer owners.

Just today I was looking at another place to host my site other then at Yhoo which is very limited I might add. I go the site I see button for interactive online help, hit it, up pops a split screen with a chat area on the top. I started to ask questions about the site, the other person who was ans. questions, while at the same time he was showing me around the site in the bottom frame. He even sent me off to look at other sites for the software they use by bringing up another browser, while showing me where that software is used in the frame below.

One could even take it further by having video clips.
