Sonny,

My goodness, the Red Herring is finally noticing this? I've been telling folks about Intel's investment prowess for a year or more, and I'm surely not the first one to notice.

Even though these investments will not be a make-or-break for Intel, it is good to see incremental value generated for the shareholders. Who knows, we might be seeing the start of another Berkshire Hathaway. Well, maybe not. But it's still nice that the press is finally beginning to notice.

The stocks have been sort of depressing while I was away - good thing I wasn't watching. Today was a real banner day. Bonds did surprisingly well, and Intel got a big boost from the analysts. CSCO came in with great numbers. If we can get another boost from the DELL rocket next week, we should be looking pretty good here in techland.

Too bad about all the shootings. What is happening here? It seems like not so long ago shootings were rare. Maybe I'm just dreaming.
