I believe I heard that number on CNBC a couple of months ago. The Fed will be printing another $50B in putting it into circulatoin to keep the system liquid. I just remember hearing it. Makes sense to me. The fed has so many cross currents to deal with right now. A stock market that is doing great, an economy that won't quit, no inflation whatsoever, a slowing housing market, spreads, asian problems are heating up again (Indonesia currency problems have been big problems last 3 weeks), rumor of another hedge fund in trouble. And, on and on it goes.
