Personally, I wouldn't care if he took a snort or two at parties now and then. Sooner or later we will have a President who took illegal drugs at some time in his life; it might as well be sooner. If he was a regular buyer and user, or if he required treatment for substance abuse of any kind (including legal substances) that would be another story.

I would be more curious about the rumours of profitable involvement in the S&L situation a few years back. I don't know much about this, but I gather that there is smoke. There may or may not be fire, but it should be clarified.

Clinton offered himself up- he was sooooo open, he wanted to be- but he also wanted to lie. You cannot have it all. It's tough Del but that's the way it is. The guy went on TV and talked about his boxers. His wife is now Jewish 'cause she wants to win in NY. These folks have no shame. I am embarrassed for them. Keeping your mouth shut and refusing to comment is adult- being loosey goosey and having a lying love-in with the press is adolescent- which pretty much defines Clinton.

I am no Republican. I can't stand most Republicans or Democrats. I think I hate almost everybody who tows a party line. Can't stand it. But Clinton sucks more than most because he is such a hypocrite- I have him in my Hypocrites Hall of Fame- along with Senator Bird, Ronald Reagan and Gary Hart.
