Cringe - Re: "Quite a few article came out today talking about how Intel expects a good 2H. That didn't seem to rub off on AMD much."

There's another message for you, Cringe.

Wall Street likes PROFITS - and AMD and Profits are never in the same room together.

Besides - I think even the Wall Street jockeys have realized that there will be NO athJOHN machines on dealer shelves - so AMD will gain essentially ZERO MIND SHARE from their usual customer base - and Intel may pick up the extra business.

Design and process guys: Can Intel catch up by Christmas? The current K7 design is significantly (please, no nitpicking) faster than the current PIII. What is within the realm of the possible that Intel could manufacture in the next 4 months to overcome that speed advantage? Among the possibles, are there any practicals?
TIA,
Vince
