(NASDAQ: WWES - news) announced today that its client, All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Freeman of the Green Bay Packers has been awarded a 7 year, $42 million contract with a $10 million signing bonus, making him the highest paid receiver in NFL history. The contract includes two voidable years meaning Freeman can opt out of the deal after five seasons. Worldwide Entertainment & Sports' Joel Segal, CEO of the Company's Football Division, was directly responsible for the negotiation. Worldwide is projecting approximately $1.25 million in total agency fees over the term of this contract. Worldwide, through Joel Segal, has negotiated over $75 million in NFL contracts since February 1999. The 6-foot-1, 198-pound Freeman is a premier wide receiver in the NFL, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors last year. Last year he made the Pro Bowl for the first time with career highs of 84 receptions for 1,424 yards and 14 touchdowns in 15 games. He has led the team the last three seasons with 221 receptions for 3,600 yards and 35 touchdowns over 43 games.
